One of the highlights of this week's eShop releases is Season 5 of Fortnite, which brings new Battlepass features to Nintendo Switch players. However, one amazing surprise included by Epic Games is the addition of gyro controls to the game. Fans have been pleading with Epic since the game's launch in June to see gyro control support added and Epic has delivered.
Alongside new fun additions like Rifts and a new Challenge the Horde mode, a small patch note says "Gyro/motion controls have been added to the Nintendo Switch. Adjust these options in the Settings menu." I'm currently downloading the update to test out how the controls work in relation to something like Splatoon 2, but this should definitely help with the Joy-Cons atrocious dead zones for fine-tuned aiming. Check out the full patch notes here.
If you haven't given Fortnite a try yet, I recommend you do so with this update. Gyro controls seem a little strange to get used to at first, but once you have the intricacies learned you'll be popping heads with your sniper rifle with ease.
