Fornite's 4.5 patch brought the new Playground Mode to Nintendo Switch, enabling players to join their friends in a map that's not constrained by the traditional Battle Royale rules. This gives players new to the game a chance to learn the building mechanics without being in high pressure situations.
Only a couple hours after the launch of the new mode, Epic decided to pull it from the game due to excessive queue times and error messages that made it a nightmare to get started. Epic decided to pull the mode while it found a workaround.
