The developers behind the Rainway app have confirmed it is no longer in active development for Nintendo Switch. The app is still in development for Android and Xbox One, however.
In a tweet, the team confirmed that they had not received permission from Nintendo to release the app on the Nintendo eShop, so active development has stopped for now.
We are currently actively developing Rainway for Android and the Xbox One. The Switch is not in active development as we have not received approval from Nintendo to do so yet. When we have an update, one will be posted.

Fans seeking to play their PC games on the Nintendo Switch have been clamoring for news about the app's development for months, as hype surrounding the app reached a frenzy shortly after the Nintendo Switch launched. This is unfortunate news for fans, but it's not surprising. Nintendo hasn't even included a basic browser on the Switch due to concerns about hacking the console.
