The Spyro Reignited Trilogy was supposed to hit PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles on September 21, with a rumored Switch version on the back burner. However, it looks like the game needs more time in the development oven before it is released. Developers Toys For Bob has released a small statement on the Activision blog letting fans know that they've decided to move the release date up to November 13, 2018.
"I really hoped that you would be rescuing dragons and scorching Rhynocs sooner, but the Trilogy needs more love and care."
This news comes after the revelation that only the first Spyro game would be included on the disc, while 2 and 3 would need a separate download from the PSN or Xbox Live stores. Activision defended this practice as very common in the industry. The Switch version is still just a rumor for now, but the Crash Trilogy continues to perform well on the console so it's unlikely that Activision will skip the Switch version.
