With the rush for physical copies of Octopath Traveler in Japan, Square Enix issued a new apology for the shortage on Twitter. Unfortunately, they cautioned that copies will continue to be in short supply, and urged fans to consider the downloadable version from the eShop instead.

Several Japanese retail outlets reported having sold out within 3 hours the last time copies of the game were in stock. Has anyone outside of Japan struggled to find a copy? Let us know in the comments!
